Visa on Arrival
For On arrival Visa, Please, bring two passport size photographs and some US Dollars in cash of small denominations to pay the visa fee. Check if you are eligible for VISA upon arrival (see conference website under Travel Information).

Airport Transfer
The airport transfer to the hotel upon arrival has been arranged for December 10-11th. Please, ensure that your arrival and departure information is entered in your on-line registration form so that your transfer arrangement is recorded in our system.
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and pass beyond customs point, report to the Nepal Tourism Board Desk / Conference Hospitality Desk for your transfer. Also, look for the hotel transfer team with the “Biodiversity Conference 2010” plaque-card. Here is a hot-line number to call in case you need help,

Registration
Delegate registration will be done on December 11th, between 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the official hotels listed below.
Hotel Marshyangdi, Thamel

Universal Guest House, Thamel
Please, enquire at the hotel reception desk. If you miss your registration on December 11th or if you are staying in other hotels than the official hotels of the conference or with friends, you should register and collect your kit at the Conference Secretariat at Nepal Academy, the conference venue, on December 12th (9:00-10:00 A.M.) before the Opening Ceremony.
Local delegates from Kathmandu valley must directly register and collect their delegate kit at the Conference Secretariat on December 11th at Nepal Academy between 12 noon to 5:00PM. Venue Transfers
Daily transfers to and from Nepal Academy (the conference venue) shall be provided from the above mentioned official hotels as per following routes and timings.
Thamel Route A: Dec 12th- 9:45 am / Dec 13-14th – 8:10 am
Sanchaya Kosh Building (near SAARC Secretariat), Thamel – Nepal Academy
(For the guests staying at Tibet Guest House and Universal Guest House)
Thamel Route B: Dec 12th- 10:00 am / Dec 13-14th – 8:35 am
Hotel Marshangdi, Thamel – Nepal Academy
All drop-off or venue-hotel transfer shall leave the Nepal Academy Building Entrance at the following timings.
December 12th: 9:00 pm
December 13-14th: 6:30 pm

Conference Secretariat
The conference secretariat will be fully functional on the venue during the conference days.
Wi-fi Internet facility will be available at the conference venue during the conference (Courtesy: Wold Link Communications Pvt. Ltd.)

Poster Stands
The poster stands shall be ready for posting on December 11th evening (4:00-6:00 PM) or December 12th morning (8:00-9:00 AM), before the opening ceremony.

Hotel Payments
The hotels and rooms have been allocated as per the terms of your registration (please, refer to conference web-site for full details of your registration entitlement).
The conference organizer will only cover the costs of your stay at the allocated hotel (with breakfast) during the conference i.e., December 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th only.
You are liable to pay your hotel directly for any extra room nights before and/or after the above mentioned dates. You are also liable to pay the hotel directly for any additional expenses incurred at the hotel such as meals, room service, telephone calls, laundry, room mini-bar, etc. Please, settle your full payment with your hotel at the time of hotel check-out.
